The Walking Befriending Service is a free initiative in Milton Keynes that supports older individuals who wish to stay active but feel hesitant to go out alone. A friendly volunteer visits them at home and accompanies them on a short, local walk at their own pace. The service is designed for those over 55 who may be at risk of isolation due to life events such as illness or bereavement.
